[ For those of you who don't know, this was her last recording with Rose Royce and the feeling she is projecting was because she was going to leave the group. Resentment. Look it up!]

It's weird for the reason that she's not defeated in this track. She understands that it is what it is... and whatever it may be, it don't live here anymore!

So, I've known this gal here, since 2005.

She goes by Lissette Ferrer and I will never front on my first impression...

I could NOT stand her!

It really didn't matter because she couldn't stand me either.

Why, you ask? Hmmm... I guess we were both judging each other by the cover, which is something you learn not to do when you're a lil young'n.

I'm pretty, so I guess that made me conceited. She was just her and I couldn't stand it.

Still, it was weird because the only thing we knew about each other was of each other!

It was 2005 and time for the district trade aka slave trade, where all the employees get mixed up and sent some place new.

Oh, Lawd! Not her! I can't stand her!

She was definitely calling me the "B" word in espanol!

Oh, well. Hater! (Lol!)

Truly, I cannot arrive at when we first spoke or when I started liking her as a person (probably when we stopped cutting eyes at each other), but booooooooy, did we get in trouble! I would love to spill the beans on all that we did, however... she's still employed there!

Getting to know her, I've seen her at the bottom. Since, we've been friends in and out of the good and bad, I'm glad I get to see her slowly rising to the top. She is a visual artist and it's a craft I can tell owns her heart. She's pretty good at it. What I appreciate about her is that you can give her an idea and she will gladly run with it!

It's weird what you discover about people when you don't pass judgment. She's an odd one... but, I like her! :0)

So, apparently there is this couple over in Morningside Heights, NY that though it would be a brilliant idea to spend $150,000 on a studio that's smaller than my feet! It's about 15 feet long and 10 feet wide. I'm talking, bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom with a stand-up shower!

If this were mine, I have no clue where I'd flaunt it but I'd surely try my best to find an excuse. Perhaps, I'd wear it to Sex in the City 2, coming to a theater near you, May 28, 2010! What's ironic about that statement is that my Optometrist says I'm legally blind.

Inside me exists an engraved interest to pursue and spend any idea I feel relevant to my being. What lies beneath this big hair, beneath this big crown of mine, lies a colorful array of ideas and successes waiting to be illustrated.

What you should know is that if you desire anything in this world, you need a blueprint. I create mine by illustration or writing it down.

So, today I met a very interesting individual... the world may know him as Johnny Cupcakes! Humble, humble guy! I truly appreciate the fact that he was completely excited to know someone was paying attention!
This is what happened...
I was in the Orlando International Airport (never mind the reason why) and I saw this man walking by with the famous Johnny Cupcakes logo on his t-shirt. Immediately I realized it was from a brand I was introduced to some years back!
Nostalgia took over... I was looking at the website and was utterly floored by the creativity he was putting into his brand! The man is not playing games! Look him up! Dope!

Anywho, I looked at his bag, and of course, it read, Johnny Cupcakes. Down on his ankle was a tattoo of the same logo on his shirt... I said, "No way!"
I walked over to him and like a dummy the only bright thing I could say was, "Are you him?" Hahaha! I'm such a dork!
He said, "Yes, I am him!"
PAUSE!!!
Allow me to add in a lil tid-bit about myself... whenever I hear something that excites me, I tend to project, "Oh, my God! Shut up!"

We began talking and he was really pleased to know I was familiar with his brand. It was almost as if he just started and he found his first fan! He was such a nice guy and I can tell he appreciates people who appreciate what he does. He informed me of his Suitcase Tour that would be heading back this way in the upcoming days... You know I'm going with my partner in crime!

Of course, I wanted to, but certain limitations held me reluctant. But we did anyway! I'm a rebel! (Shhh... don't tell!)

First Puff...

Today is the start of the "Brand New Era." What does that mean to you? It just means, I'm heading out towards new things. I'm going to experience new things, meet new people and most definitely test myself in new ways. Oh, I am heavily ecstatic! I decided to start this blog... well, because I'm a writer! And because I've been wanting to do this for quite sometime now. There's more to me than the average bear, but let me not spill it the first time around.
