So, this is one of my three lovely nieces! I must say, children have a natural way of keeping you young at heart! The other night she wanted to dance and I was lucky enough to witness the hilarity! She's the best- it makes me feel so wonderful inside to know she loves hangin' out with her Auntie!

Her voice, Gwen Dickey, really illustrates the pain and anger in a more civil way that I can stand in delight with because she still gets the point across. It bares more of an exhausted type of rejection to her lover.

[ For those of you who don't know, this was her last recording with Rose Royce and the feeling she is projecting was because she was going to leave the group. Resentment. Look it up!]

It's weird for the reason that she's not defeated in this track. She understands that it is what it is... and whatever it may be, it don't live here anymore!

Lissette Ferrer: Paint a Thousand Words

So, I've known this gal here, since 2005.

She goes by Lissette Ferrer and I will never front on my first impression...

I could NOT stand her!

It really didn't matter because she couldn't stand me either.

Why, you ask? Hmmm... I guess we were both judging each other by the cover, which is something you learn not to do when you're a lil young'n.

I'm pretty, so I guess that made me conceited. She was just her and I couldn't stand it.

Still, it was weird because the only thing we knew about each other was of each other!

It was 2005 and time for the district trade aka slave trade, where all the employees get mixed up and sent some place new.

Oh, Lawd! Not her! I can't stand her!

She was definitely calling me the "B" word in espanol!

Oh, well. Hater! (Lol!)

Truly, I cannot arrive at when we first spoke or when I started liking her as a person (probably when we stopped cutting eyes at each other), but booooooooy, did we get in trouble! I would love to spill the beans on all that we did, however... she's still employed there!

Hahahahaaaaa! Nobody will know but us two and Yosting aka Justin because he was always there to witness it!

Getting to know her, I've seen her at the bottom. Since, we've been friends in and out of the good and bad, I'm glad I get to see her slowly rising to the top. She is a visual artist and it's a craft I can tell owns her heart. She's pretty good at it. What I appreciate about her is that you can give her an idea and she will gladly run with it!

It's weird what you discover about people when you don't pass judgment. She's an odd one... but, I like her! :0)
